Navigating the platform
The dashboard is designed to provide a general overview of the state of the markets and can also be a good starting point for your analyses.
Each chart shows the performance of the assets in the selected asset list against the selected benchmark. An asset list is simply a collection of assets, e.g. the NASDAQ-50 asset list contains the top 50 stocks in the NASDAQ or the Country ETFs asset list contains all ETFs that represent a country's stock market.
Hover over the titles above the input fields to see the help texts.
- Use the dropdown menus to update the charts
- Click on legend items above the charts to isolate groups of assets or individual assets
- Zoom in and out of charts
- Hover over charts to display additional data
Tables with checkboxes in the leftmost column can be used to navigate the platform by selecting one or more assets and clicking on an action.
Tables with an empty last row can be typed in for data input.
Asset
- Asset data: A time series of the daily price of the asset
- Asset attributes: Metadata that describes the asset, e.g. the asset's currency or asset class
All assets you have access to are listed in the Asset Database. The most commonly used ETFs, stocks, currencies, futures, and cryptocurrencies are available by default.
With the Asset Builder, you can add additional assets to the database. Assets can be fetched from a data provider, you can import your own asset data, or you can create your own asset by applying various transformations to an existing asset.
Portfolio
- Portfolio configuration: All the settings in the portfolio builder that define how the portfolio is constructed
- Portfolio allocations: A time series of daily allocations of assets to the portfolio, e.g. asset 1: 25%, asset 2: 25%, asset 3: 50%
- Portfolio data: A time series of the daily performance of the portfolio, based on the performance of the assets and the allocation to the assets
You can build your portfolio with the Portfolio Builder or choose one of our portfolios.
Asset list
A collection of assets, used for grouping of similar assets and easier handling of multiple assets. For example, the NASDAQ-50 asset list contains the top 50 stocks in the NASDAQ and can be used to add all 50 assets to a portfolio or to compare all 50 assets.
You can create your own asset lists or use our asset lists.
Benchmark
An asset or index is used as a benchmark to compare assets or portfolios against. Commonly used benchmarks are the S&P-500 Index or the MSCI ACWI Index.
Any asset or portfolio in the Asset Database can be used as a benchmark.
Metric
Quantitative measure calculated on the asset or portfolio data. For example, the metric Cumulative Return measures the gain or loss between two dates, while the metric Sharpe Ratio measures the ratio between the return and risk of an asset.
The definitions for all metrics can be found here.

Your actual portfolio in your trading account as a result of buying and selling of assets.
In thepage, you can track your investments as well as get trading instructions to invest the portfolio you have built with the Portfolio Builder or one of our portfolios.
